Abortion may seem like the easy way out when a woman faces an unintended pregnancy and doesn’t know what to do.  Family and friends may recommend abortion to her as the quickest solution.

Marital or Joint Parenting

Some couples who are unexpectedly pregnant choose to marry to provide a supportive environment for each other and their child. Those who are already married may seek support from family or community resources. Another option would be joint-parenting where you and your baby’s father don’t live together, but both raise your child. Sometimes this can work well you’re both committed to being in your child’s life, but marriage just isn’t right for you.

Single Parenthood

Many women choose single motherhood. Fathers—and even grandparents—may also choose to raise children when a woman feels she cannot accept the responsibility of motherhood.
